Civil Engineering Lecturer / Tutor (Distance Learning)
Course Development Role for Online Engineering College
My Client is a provider of engineering qualifications via online distance learning to students in engineering subjects at level 4 and level 5.
They deliver their course material in a manner to allow the students to work in their own time and pace, via bite-size learning steps utilising a combination of reading, videos, worked examples and direct 1-2-1 teaching using video calls.
About the Job
This is for a fixed term contract for the production of distance learning material for Civil Engineering related content.
However, the selected candidate may also be offered an on-going part-time contract for the support and assessment of learner work.

Job Specification
The requirement is for the production of easy to follow distance learning course material. Initially, they are looking for someone to develop the unit specifications and then the distance learning material for their new Civil Engineering courses.
In the first instance, this will be a fixed short-term contract for the creation of the unit specifications and learning material suitable for distance learning. However, my client are keen to find a suitable person to provide on-going support to learners and marking of assignments etc and so further opportunities are possible for the right candidate.
BEng required as a minimum qualification
Flexible working pattern, no fixed hours. Remote working.
Course Development
Excellent professional communication skills
IT literate
Industry and/or academia experience in civil engineering.
